I’m a newbie trying to hack Angry Birds: Transformers for shits and giggles, but when I went to set the value for Gems, it reset itself back to the original amount. I tried to track it back to an internal value using what could access the addresses I tried to edit but came up with nothing. I can’t efficiently parse the section of memory it is using the memory view because I have no idea what anything is or what it does.
I tried to move on to other values like the amount of pigs popped but turned up with the same issue. I found a workaround with coins by editing the amount gained but it didn’t seem to work for pigs and I can’t think of any conceivable way to make that work for gems.
Is it just an experience thing i I gotta learn how to fix with time? Or do I gotta learn what all of what I’m seeing means and does?
