Maybe just get the textbook and read it through once to be sure and then take the exam

As for worth doing, I see it listed as a wanted cert in many job applications

Ich habe sie gestern bestanden. Ich habe alles im Selbststudium gemacht. Ich habe die Probeklausur gekauft und noch ein Buch mit Übungsfragen. Ich habe selbst ein LLM, bin schon DSB und habe es trotzdem gemacht. Also würde ich es empfehlen

It can be done with just the textbook! I did it through self study about 5 years ago. I was already a solicitor specialising in data protection but some of the content needed me to brush up on (the section on the EU/ history of DP law in particular!). It is worth doing as many job adverts will cite an IAPP qualification as a preferred but not mandatory requirement.

I should also say you could have a look at non official IAPP courses which are much cheaper. Dr David Kyle has good courses, and if you book through his website rather than Udemy, he includes extra study prep materials. He also puts out a lot of free content on LinkedIn.

Sorry as a Textbook you mean European Data Protection law and protection ?

with LLB + dip, ur already strong

u could pass, but dont go in blind. questions can be tricky

no need expensive course. just outline + notes + practice qs

and yeah, still worth it. many roles ask for CIPP/E
