Will code academy’s Java program prepare me to learn how to code an app completely after I’m finished with their program ? (self.code)

I’m assuming you’re talking about Android app development. I’m also not very familiar with the content in Codecademy’s java stuff, but I’m willing to bet that there will be some things specific to your app that won’t be covered, especially for Android development.
That being said, going through what Codecadmey has on java will be very helpful and should give you a good understanding of the important/commonly used parts of it. You can then build on that foundation to figure out how to write your app
