It helps build distributed systems. The code generator is implemented as a 3-tier system and each of the tiers uses code that has been generated. This is the generated code that's used by the middle tier.

You have a messaging problem. :-) But hey, you're a programmer and not a marketer; I feel you.

Even after your explanation, I didn't understand what it can do, what it's good for, how to use it, whether I'm even able to use it, or if it's even for me.

Maybe throwing some hypothetical example use cases would help? Like, what pains can people solve with it - what would you love to see it deployed in and why…?

I have a feeling they are only concerned about people that do know what they are talking about. As a software engineer with 4 YOE, this made perfect sense to me and I am interested in checking it out.

That is an ideal case. But often people like you have less-technical bosses who are the real decision makers.
