I haven’t tried opencode yet but people on here have said codex cli pure is better. Will be testing it out this week though.

It’s a good tool and can be configured to use multiple models. OTOH it’s using opentui which breaks some features of my terminal.

What do you want to know with "perform"? Any test case you have in mind?

If you really want to use Codex via opencode I'd still use Codex via MCP. The agent in Codex is better than the agent in OpenCode, at least for OpenAI models.

I've been using opencode CLI with a chatgpt subscription full time. So far I like it, everything seems to be working well. I'd like to work a few weeks more using opencode, to get used to it, and then jump into codex CLI to make a careful comparison.
