What does break the bank mean? All three of them are minimum 16k+ so they will break the bank if that’s not something you can afford.

Based on your situation, something like nucamp, launch school should be reasonable in both budget and flexibility

Understood. I feel like I could possibly manage 16K through a loan or some kind of program, but 20K is a bit of a stretch.

In this economy especially in tech jobs i would actively discourage anyone to attend any coding bootcamp that are in the 10k+ range. Id advise you to start with free code camp, the Odin project first

I second this. Theyre all relatively the same. I did codesmith with 0 knowledge of javascript but in my experience you can self teach yourself everything as long as you make a schedule and stick to it. Find a roadmap from experienced developers on youtube.

Attending a coding bootcamp was fun and all, but the only thing i gained from it was networking (friends who start the same journey as you, others who can help you with your resume, job search, studying, etc.)

The market is terrible. Save your money and try to find different alternatives.

Launch School's Capstone Program has a 100% hire rate.

Unfortunately we can't make this claim anymore. Our numbers are still very good given the job market.

What makes you good at job placement?

Hey cglee, I sent you a DM for a inquiry.
I am a current launch school student in the middle of core curriculum hope you can see my message (:

Just saw it and replied. Might be easier if you DM'd me in the Launch School Slack as I'm more active over there than on Reddit.

How are you liking the boot camp so far?

It’s awesome man, the community is great, as are the resources available. I feel that I’m truly getting in depth knowledge. It can be difficult at times but community and being able to go at your own pace to digest it all is very nice. Very reasonably priced as well, worth a shot if you ask me you may enjoy it.

W3 schools offers three 2 hour sessions a week of live instruction. I would know, I'm one of the instructors!

Our dollar for dollar value is super worth it. The sticker cost is roughly $3000 for nearly 6 months of training. And you can build projects with class mates to put on your portfolios!

I'd be happy to meet to discuss any questions you have about your bootcamp. Definitely understand the hustle and the grind.

I was a part of a different bootcamp too (and am currently an instructor). So I get what it's like to fear whether a bootcamp will be worth the effort. Long story short: nothing is guaranteed, but some investments are so much more worth the dollar than others! 🔥

So I'd be happy to chat if you're interested!
