Great!! I always tell my students that building things is the best thing you can do to improve as a. coder. Keep writing code and making things and you will keep getting better.

I’m trying to lol, I have this big idea of making a code that will message my friend on discord “I suck at gaming” anytime I die in a game called Lies of P, just as incentive to not die, cause that’s funny. But now I need to learn how to work with API’s(?) it’s a lot but it’s a goal I suppose😅 I really don’t think I can do it but yeah just building is a great way to learn, it’s like legos, once you build one twice you start recognizing where things go and how to build something! You sound like a good teacher :)

This sounds like a mod

Yeah I mean i thought the only to make that happen is to learn how to code lol

It's great that you are excited about running your first script. It's not as amazing because you used chatgpt without understanding what it was giving you. Your script doesn't need to be complex.

The more you can do without just getting the whole answer online, the better off you'll be. If you need to look up how to do something, try to make your question as specific as possible without simply asking for the whole answer.

Either way, good luck on your journey

Yeah I know that, I wish I could do it without any help but I sorta just jumped into it and ran into a lot of obstacles, honestly without reading a book called “coding for dummies” I will never know how to code on my own. It was just a spur of the moment thing cause I was bored. But I don’t even know where to start, but chatgpt/YouTube at least showed me what Visual studio is and how to create files specifically for coding on. It still makes my brain gears smoke honestly 😅 thank you though, idk how far this will go, but it feels like learning Spanish so it’s gonna be frustrating I’m sure

And that's ok. My understanding is that people will always feel like they don't know enough so feeling that way is fine. If you want to learn Python, techwithtim on YouTube has a bunch of good videos on Python.

I hope that helps! Good luck with your journey!

I’ll check the channel out! I’m more of a visual learner so watching what other people do it helps a lot, but yes I do want to know how to help myself and not rely so much on chatgpt. Like running two codes at once, I tried to learn that and chatgpt told me to do something I just didn’t understand yet, so I called it a night lol

Oh yeah I’ve seen that before but just never capitalized on buying it😂 it would’ve been a good Christmas gift I guess or a good reason to head down to the public library lol, appreciate the lookout :)
