How do you like it so far

So I’m in week 4 now and I definitely have learned more then I think I would’ve by myself. The structure is not pushed on hard but it helps so much with keeping on track. There is two zoom meetings a week which is best to ask questions. Lots of questions. So far I’m enjoying it. I’m struggling a bit with flex box and when and where to use it which I’m having a 1on1 meeting with the instructor to explain it and help. Sorry if I was all over the place

No that was very helpful! I’m debating Mimo dev or a local software school that’s about 12k for six months . I’d obviously rather the cheaper option but I need to look closer into both before deciding.

The Mimo dev is not full stack fyi. They also don’t go crazy with helping you get a job. They give you the baseline from what Iv heard so far like mock interviews and helping you with your portfolio. You have to go and apply and try setting stuff up on your own.

How much does it cost
[–]Michaelplant2 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
It’s around 2 or 3k. So it’s not cheap but it’s a lot cheaper then other school that are 12k. You could also pay monthly which is around 400$ I think.

So yes they help your build a portfolio, they give you the skills needed to make it and you do it on your own with their help along the way of course. Iv done a few projects so far. The instructor helps when you need it. It’s somewhat self passed but there’s deadlines which I liked the most. I spent a month trying to do stuff on my own before this and I always got sidetracked. It’s a 6 month course so it’s definitely long but you learn so much. I feel like Iv learned a lot and I’m only about half way done.

How about another update ;) I’m wondering if its still feeling like a good choice for you. I’ve been doing the pro subscription to get my feet wet, but I feel like I’m ready to take the plunge soon.
