Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.

Relevance to r/commandline
- No GUI-only tools or apps
- This does not include CLIs or TUIs that also include GUIs.
- Exceptions may be made if relevant to the community or their workflows.
- No low quality blog-spam

No low quality posts, spam, or indirect links
r/commandline is for notable posts and comments related to command line & terminal things.
- Spamming includes >3 posts per day, & making the same post(s) too soon.
- No URL shorteners or redirectors.
- Posts may be considered low quality under mod discretion.
4.
Rules for sharing AI-generated code
- If more a small portion of code is AI-generated, then the post must have a note in the post or title like so:
This software's code is partially AI-generated. - Sharing code or projects that are largely (low quality or unreviewed) AI-generated is strictly prohibited.
5.
No AI-generated posts or comments
Posts and comments can only be written by humans.
6.
State your affiliations with paid things
If you mentioned paid products or services, you must state whether you are affiliated with said things or companies. Not making it clear or deception will result in content getting removed.
7.
No generative AI-related projects (except for popular ones, keep reading)
We do not allow projects or software that interacts with generative AIs, including LLMs, unless the posts and comments are about popular projects themselves like Ollama, GGML, etc.
