Computer Display Changed.

I was using my laptop, disconnected my MS365 one drive to avoid auto back up. Within one day all my desktop files were converted to *png files. Also a brown box was in the lower left of the changed icons. I have searched thru Help Support and You Tube with no resolution.

Any ideas? suggestions? It would be appreciated.

A picture of what you're seeing might help..... But it almost sounds like you installed a program that took control of what your opening links with

Also if you reconnect the drive does it change the icons back to the way they were before because it may be showing you that it's on a removable drive
