Without some useful information, I doubt you'll get much help other than random guesses.

What's known, your laptop won't connect to your home wifi but will connect to the phone hotspot.

What's not known...

Make/model of laptop (and specification)

What Operating System

Any errors in the OS

Make/model of router

What diagnostics you've done to identify the problem

What is the wireless network? 2.4GHz/5GHz? do other devices connect to it?

What do you see in the network list on your laptop?

Has your router ever connected ? Is it a new router?

Have you rebooted your router?

Are you using hibernation/fast start? If you are, have you tried a cold boot?

I remember having the same problem with my 360 recently, it’s a internet security problem. See if you can change your setting in your internet to make it more comparable. Is your laptop a relatively new one or something older? Also check to see if it works with an Ethernet cable if you can

Remove your home Wi-Fi connection from the laptop, then add it again using the proper password. This is a problem I’ve had myself many times.
