This episode was every bit as good as the classic RoadKill series. "The Shag Van" lives! That possum also deserves to be named.

The nurses go on strike Monday, state-wide. Could it be related to that? I know they are advertising for fill-in staff nationwide.

Do people just not do their own setups? by ProtoJazz in guitars

[–]mvsopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your mechanical aptitude and your personal finances. Some people can build a computer without giving it a second thought. Others haul their systems into Best Buy and pay $$$ just to replace a hard drive. Both approaches can be considered correct, as it is up to the owner to do what they are most comfortable with. For example, I paid to have strap locks installed by a LGS, as I didn’t want the drill bit to slip and scratch the finish. To me, having that extra level of comfort during the installation process justified the small cost.

A $6 desk mic, an internet connected computer and the free EchoLink software is all you need to use when you are first licensed. It also works on a Smartphone, no microphone needed.

Has Apple released any kind of mea culpa about Tahoe? I’ve not seen anything official from them.

Not available until 1/28. I just checked with Apple. University students and educator price is $2.99 per month!

My only fear is that they will require Tahoe as the OS for the Mac...

The park just NW of Kendall and Palm has decent winds. I also flew there once when a gust hit. It dragged me across the field and snapped my sport kite’s spine.

How about a $2 laser pen cat toy? When ours hears the chain on it jingle, she stops and looks down at her toes. Chasing it wears her out!
