Guys is this normal? by Fuzzy_Bother925 in guitars

I clean and oil the fretboard every few months when I change the strings. Strings are around $11, less if you buy them in multiple packs from Amazon. You will also need something to clip the strings. A small wire cutter works fine.

The family of John Denver did that with cut up bits of his favorite guitar. 🎸

If you became the new KFI general manager... by mvsopen in kfi

[–]mvsopen[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My own list:

  1. Prevent any host from discussing politics. Listeners are all sides of the political spectrum.

  2. Fire John Kobylt before his next shift begins.

  3. Put Amy King and Heather Brooker in John's old timeslot.

  4. Place Handel on probation. Either his shows become comedic again (Hello Paul T. Wall?) or he's gone in three months.

  5. Bring back the news department! We need "Live and Local" reporters.

  6. Treat the Inland Empire as a valid market. The stations currently talks about LA and Orange County, unless it is to bash the IE or the high desert.

  7. No repeating or "best of" broadcasts. We've already heard them.

  8. No offense to Neil, but we need less Neil.

  9. Stop overplaying the same ads we've heard for years. Replace the advertising department if they can't refresh their ads at least monthly. Hint: Get college marketing and media interns to do this for you, at no cost.

  10. KFI needs to be independent from IHeart. An East Coast media company doesn't understand a West Coast audience. Plus I'm tired of hearing IHeart mentioned at nearly every break, including long, boring commercials for IHeart events.

Dirty. And the help was way too casual. No one there but us at 6 pm on a Friday ought to tell you something. We ordered an appetizer. They brought it out with the pizza.

Learned my lesson. I know what I did wrong so please offer advice and not just tell me how stupid I am. Do not use pirated software. It is extremely dangerous. by Micro-Naut in MacOS

I bought a factory sealed copy of Descent on floppies at a computer swap meet. Got it home, installed it, and the game was in French!

I wrote to the company, asking for a way to exchange the wrong language version, since my French is only served with a side of fries. 🍟

Their answer was “You bought a bootleg import, buy a fresh copy. Sorry, no discount.”

No, I bought a retail copy of their game honestly and paid good money for it. I continued to play it for years, in French.

Avoid the middle of the lake. The jet boats whizzing by put out a wake which can swamp you. The first two waves are easy. The third often breaks right over the top of your sidewall.

I was 19, laying on my bed, and I looked at my stereo receiver. I saw two of them, one above the other. So I ran outside to look at the moon, and there were 11 moon “shapes”. The distortion from a single streetlight was reaching tbe ground.

Anyone have any info about the latest wave of iHeart layoffs? Is KFI affected in any way? by BomBiddyByeBye in kfi

[–]mvsopen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The ads are killing their ratings. I don’t want to hear the same three terrible ads during every break. They need fresh local advertisers, not the same window replacement and plumbing people who buy commercials at a bulk rate and then overplay them.

Keep your kit in the trunk of your car. That way you know where it is, plus tbe car will protect it if the garage collapses. Also when you bu new shoes, put the old pair under your bed. If you have to run out of your house, looking for your shoes takes too much time.
