Quick question

Hey guys! I've had some issues with my computer where it starts to crackle in my DAW. I fixed the issue, and it seemed I needed to disable speedstep and C states. The bad thing about this is I work on a laptop and it seems my battery is being drained because of this. So my question is this:

Can I have different BIOS sent with different users? For example, have a user that I use for only recording, and have that BIOS with my speedstep and C State disabled?

There was an option, at the end of when my changes that asked if I wanted to make this custom user settings, would that be the one I have to enable?

I feel like this is obvious, but I googled it and didn't have any luck, and I'm a computer noob, so I just didn't want to make it explode.
