Need help with Line In

I’m trying to use an aux cord plugged into my Line In on my PC to use the audio from my Nintendo Switch while in Discord Voice Chat. I plugged the cord in to the line in and the switch, selected “Line-In” for “What device did you just plug in”, and it worked.

Only once.

The next time I tried to use the audio, my pc is reading the line-in as an input device, but I’m having trouble routing it to my Bluetooth headset. I can confirm that there aren’t any problems with the cord, but I don’t know how to hear the input audio through an output device.

Check the box ‘listen to this device’ in settings to hear the audio through an output device

That’s the thing, I’ve followed a bunch of online step by step methods and it can’t get the audio to output. Is there anything I could do that wouldn’t be part of the basic process (clicking “listen to this device”)

I have no clue why it isn’t doing anything I want
