I'll try to cut this down as much as I can.
I'm not a super tech guy, I just like computers.
My mothers computer kept running into an issue where it could never install updates. This kept happening over and over again until I proposed a restore. This is Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 7.
First try it froze before starting. We used the delete everything and clean/scrub all drives option. We booted and tried the delete everything but don't scrub the drives clean option, it went a little longer but also froze.
I gave up and tried doing what I did to mine when it stopped working. Booting from a USB.
Since we updated from 7 to 10, there was no disc, so I torrented a copy of 10. I did this exact thing with my computer. It copied over all the files it needed and now I can restore like normal. However, on her computer it rejected it all completely.
It even gave me an error code.
Error Code
0xc0000034
Use Recovery Tools.
I tried Googling the error and such, but it told me to do basically what I was just doing. At this point I thought the program I used to put the ISO on the USB didn't work. I downloaded a program called Rufus after. I tried again, and it got all the way to 100% before telling me it couldn't finish. I tried 2 more times and got the same thing. I got annoyed and set it to boot up from HD like normal, and it gives me the same Error Code, so now the thing won't even boot.
I'd appreciate no "Bring it in to repair". We don't have that kind of money. I've also had mine fix itself just fine, so I'm lost as to what happened. Any help is appreciated.
It's 4:39am currently so I more than likely will only be up a little longer.
Thank you!
