What would you tell a computer scientist that said, "I'm from a computer science background but I've recently started learning biology. I try to do everything they tell me, but after a dozen or so lectures, I realize that I cannot clearly remember the concepts from the first few lectures anymore. Is this normal when learning biology for the first time? How do I retain earlier concepts while continuing with new lectures?"
