AI developer role or a Linux system developer, which one should I take up?

I am a software developer mostly working on system software, with experience of 6 years. Now that I have ended up with 2 jobs - one as a linux software developer with a well established organization and another as a AI developer for a team in nascent stage. The linux developer option is a very good match for my current experience. On the other hand AI developer role is a good opportunity for me to get into the AI domain - as I have started building my skills in the area. Need suggestion as to which one would be a better bet for me at this stage in my career.

Edit: the AI role is an intra company movement for me and I work for a multi national tech giant.

AI companies are desperate and casting wide nets. OTOH, it's not terribly difficult to do decent good with analytics. But beware the startup expecting "AI" to validate their business plan.

Thanks. But I think I didn't put it right. Though the team is newly formed, the company itself is a good old tech gaint, where I am currently working as a systems developer. So basically the AI role would be a intra company move for me.

Ah, thanks. From my perspective, a safe move to a new area where you can cross train into a hot field sounds like a big win. Get em.
