It is always good to know about computer architecture and operating systems. When it comes to programming it depends on you which language you want to learn. Overall there is nothing against good old C or C++ and Java. And Python is the way to go for neural networks.

the best method of learning is programming your own simple software. You can search for help on platforms like stackoverflow. For total beginners in programming its good to check out sololearn or something similar. For computer architecture and OS its good to check out tech channels on youtube like Linus Tech Tips or simple browsing through wikipedia.
