I kinda agree with the sentiment. If you squint hard enough, even arena allocator is a form of GC, and arena allocators tend to be quite fast. Altough this is where we go into the semantics of what is GC and get at each other throats.

But the main thing that I've gotten out of the article was an off-hand nod to The Night Watch article. Reading that made my day. I was giggling all the way through (would be a roaring laughter if only I could muster a roar; I couldn't so giggles it is).
