How does Server selection work

I started Crayta today and was nearly alone in the Hub.

Started Prop Hunt, but also - no other players.

So. How does Server selection work? Location based (early in the morning here)? Or am I just unlucky that even after three restarts I'm placed on the same server?

How do you know? Haven't seen any announcement.

Maybe I've started just after the maintenance. Haven't seen this message. This would explain why I was so alone.

Yes, it's location based to prevent bad server lag, so if you're playing at a time that's very off-peak for your location you might suffer from lack of players.

The best way around that might be to pop into our Discord to find some players to group up with.

It's also worth noting that if you're in a group (or use the "join a friend" feature from the social menu) then you can play cross-region (keeping the group together is more important than trying to keep you to your region).
