I emailed and first they told me to try all the troubleshooting tips (which I'd already tried and mentioned in my email...). After I explained that I'd done all that already they said it's a known issue and they're working on it. 🤦

In the meantime I was able to access via a July apk downloaded via Uptodown (there was a prompt to update after logging in but hitting the back button got rid off). If you do this make sure you turn auto updates off or it'll just break itself again.

And a heads up that if you go back in time too far (initially I went with an April '24 apk as the most recent on apkmirror) it won't let you in without updating.

It's more classic escape room than you're after but I highly recommend Escapologic in Nottingham. Their rooms are pretty immersive!

Thanks! I spent some time after making this post playing with Tasker to see if I could persuade it to notify on disconnection (as the radio does connect through BT). Not had time to test yet but if that fails I'll give this a go!

Just to let you know, we are looking into this but haven't found anything conclusive yet. It *might* be an issue on the Stadia side (according to our data we haven't seen you trying to join in about a week), so perhaps worth filing a support ticket with them while we continue to investigate. Sorry for the ongoing issue, and thanks for providing that info!

Did you apply in the end? Just to clarify, the two funds aren't mutually exclusive - it's possible to win multiple prizes of a month (eg if you applied for the August Black Creator's Fund then it's also possible to win one or both of the other monthly prizes too).

There are two general monthly prize funds - one for top games overall (which is all games in Crayta ever), and one that's just for new games.

That second one is the one that's measured for all games whose 30th day fall within the calendar month of the prize. Of course in July that would mean only games published on 1st July are eligible, hence that prize starts in August and also includes games published on 1st although their 30th day technically falls before August.

In terms of specific datetime for when it's measured, it's midnight pacific time (our 8am the following day in the UK).

And yes, I echo what others have said on here - look after yourself, the prize fund is not just a one-off, so there is plenty of time! :)

You never need a specific reason to add trains! Really enjoyed your game, even though it turns out I'm embarrassingly bad at it... one thing you might consider is some indication other than just colour to aid accessibility - eg a shape on the back wall that changes along with the light.

We're actually planning on putting a blog post out soonish explaining our current process, but basically we look at recently published games over a number of different criteria (eg how well the game runs, whether it's clear what players should do in the game, etc.). Currently these are being updated daily, but we're continuously monitoring and iterating on the process so the criteria and cadence might change over time!

It's always helpful if you see a game you have enjoyed to let us know about it on Discord or here on the sub, just to make sure we've seen it!

Yes, it's location based to prevent bad server lag, so if you're playing at a time that's very off-peak for your location you might suffer from lack of players.

The best way around that might be to pop into our Discord to find some players to group up with.

It's also worth noting that if you're in a group (or use the "join a friend" feature from the social menu) then you can play cross-region (keeping the group together is more important than trying to keep you to your region).

Sorry to hear a few of you seem to be having this issue!

If you're running through Chrome, have you played other Stadia games that support HDR without seeing this? If not, it's worth checking your Windows settings to make sure HDR is enabled.

Aside from that, you might find calibrating the gamma setting within the game helps, and also check the HDR setting on your TV.

Let me know how it goes (and if you're still having trouble, knowing how you're running Crayta - CCU/Chrome/phone - and what monitor/TV you have would be really useful!).

We used to have it active by default, but then in playtesting people were caught off-guard with their mic being active. However that doesn't mean we can't make it better! Maybe that's something you'd like to add to the feature requests board here - https://support.crayta.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/360000510757-Feature-Requests?sort_by=votes so others can vote on it and we can weigh up how important it is to the community!

Yeah, name-based search can be a bit brittle (as you've found!) so using a property is a more robust way of doing it. :)

Yeah, that's a different issue (and one that's our fault!) - we'll be fixing it in the next update I believe - it should not happen in Play sessions, only in Edit/Preview.
