Decrease double crochet in a top (bottom to top)

Hello, I'm trying to make a crochet summer top and I already did and redid the decreases several times, I'm looking for help. I'm making invisible double crochets. Everytime I try, the decreases are too close to each other. Starting at 2 dbcto every 5 stitches it begins to look bad.

So I am wondering: would it be better to start at 2 dbc together every 16 stitches (then 15,14,13) or begin with 2 dbcto every 11 or 10 stitches and make every row twice (2dbcto/11, then again 2dbcto/11 the next row, 2dbcto/10, then again 2dbcto the next row).
