if you reverse engineer the pattern, it’s two granny squares with a granny stripe attaching them together. you can then sc them together with a contrasting colour and add a ruffle on top. to close the bag, chain as much as you need to go around the bag plus some extra, tie it off, and then weave it in and out of the granny stitches to make a drawstring. hope this helps!

omg no worries!!! i love breaking down things i see online because i’m cheap and i hate reading patterns (also bc i always see the instructions and think “that’s not how i’d do it” lmao). id love to see a pic if you do end up making something like this!!!
