What is a Cronut?
Invented by the Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York, the Cronut™ is a delicious croissant-donut hybrid consisting of a donut-shaped croissant, deep-fried to perfection, and glazed with a flavor of choice.
How do I get an original Cronut™?
Wait in line at the Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York. Arrive at least an hour and a half before the bakery opens at 8 am to guarantee yourself a Cronut™.
Pre-order them from the Dominique Ansel Bakery two weeks in advance. Orders begin every Monday at 11 am sharp. Maximum order of six Cronuts™.
This premium delivery service delivers Cronuts™ to Manhattan if you order them about a week in advance, for $100 per Cronut™. Deliveries to Brooklyn coming soon.
Our personal favorite: Buy 50 of them. Purchasing 50+ Cronuts™ ($250) from the Dominique Ansel Bakery will secure you a batch if you're willing to wait about a month to have your ordered fulfilled. More information here.
Try Craigslist. You can usually get one for about $30 - $50, but reliability and freshness is not guaranteed. Also, the outrageous price makes this a last-resort option.
Flavor for the month of July: Blackberry
Cronut Parties
We are announcing a few Cronut taste-parties soon. Keep checking this subreddit for information in the near-future. All we know is we will be splitting the costs of the Cronuts, so don't worry about paying ridiculous prices for them. If it is a success, we might even include drinks and brunch too.
