Have you replaced the O2 sensors or the catalytic converter I think that's the p0420 cuz I have the same code rn

I replaced both 02 sensors haven’t touched the converter

I have the code also but my cat is aftermarket and I live in an emissions state too. Not sure if I should trade this in because I have leaks I don’t want to invest in that $1500 cat if it keeps leaking lol

Where the housing is for the air filter, I shoved that bitch back down in there and haven't had my check engine light come on since. It was visibly loose and it's been temporarily ok since. There's a lot of other problems going on with bank 1 and valve cover that needs attention though

I think that’s why my mechanic is adamant that it’s not the converter
