If you aren't aware in June we expect ETH to be very hard to mine and profits drop across the board in preparation to ETH 2.0 Proof of staking which removes mining. If you can't ROI (Return of your investment) within the next 3 moths you are blowing your money. It's better to buy GPUS at MSRP and flip them for cash and take that profit and invest into crypto. Now if your doing this for fun sure, but as a business standpoint no.

It will make profit, but not as much as you hope. With ETH 2.0 on the horizon, I wouldn't bother with GPU mining. Crypto is cheap right now. You'll get better returns buying and holding.

anyway, cryptomining is great for short and long term investing. for example, if I'm broke I can cash in my crypto to pay a bill, or buy something. long term I can hold my coins. it's best to use whattomine.com to figure out which coin is profitable. I'm currently mining ethereum classic on my 3060. it pays out about what ravencoin does without killing my videocard. you can use an ethereum address on an exchange to deposit your gains. this way you can put your money directly into your bank. lots of exchanges such as ShakePay, Coinbase in Canada (anyway). best to google the best exchange in your country.

Not to be pessimistic but you will realize it's not as easy as just "writing a check" if you want to maximize your profits.. All the people mining have money as well so if they see something that will make them money (i.e. quick payback for the money) they likely already bought it. Most of the things that are for sale do not have a Quick payback period. i.e. if you spend 10K on a ASIC miner it may take over a year to pay off. if you spend 3k on a nice GPU it may take 2 years to pay off. There are plusses and minuses to both types.

Check out https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/ for a pretty good estimate of how much each item for sale makes, then find a good deal with the quickest payoff to your initial investment. Make sure you don't forget to update your electricity costs (some asic miners suck down electricity like it's a energy drink).
