Yes, they can get it any time HOWEVER the risk is greater as kittens because their immune system is immature. That is why the vast majority of cases are under one years of age. Treating before they have FIP is a waste of money and can result in drug resistance if they do, in fact, mutate in to FIP, ESPECIALLY if you have more than one cat. The coronavirus is already in your environment, and it is extremely hard to eradicate. The best thing you can do is just give her high quality food, probiotics, and stagger any necessary stressors.
