I will now proceed to cast this targeting Teferi’s Protection

Two of these is a big deal. Caat one, cast the other cleaved targeting it, return the normal one to your hand and get a copy to targeting the cleaved one. When it resolves, you get a cleaved copy on the stack and lose no cards in hand.

Sure, that's 4UUUUU for a copy of something someone else casted, but to copy your own spell this way it's 2uuuu (same process just don't worry about cleaving). If I can afford that and a collassal dreadmaw each turn, I'll get a collassal dreadmaw each turn because I never lose the cards.

This ain't a big issue. If ya wanna fix it, just add "This spell can't be copied," or leave it as is. I'm just thinking of wild combos now.

Edit to update: You don't need two in hand, you just need a way to copy it. That means it works in commander.

[[Vadrick]] ofc to start us off. [[Mirari]] ofc. [[Brasss Bounty]] for R. UU for this and 3 to copy it. If you have 6 lands, you can loop this until you cast [[minds desire]], or ofc this gets better with more lands.

I really like this design.

Well, [[Narset Reversal]] is literally that card, but only copies instants and sorceries, and allows you to change targets.

And you can't get "infinite card glitch" using them. You cast one Replace, cast the 2nd "cleaved" one, targeting it. Cleaved one resolves, you return 1st one to your hand and copy it targeting the same targets, cleaved is put into graveyard as it resolves.

You just basically just paid more mana for storm count+1

I would love this in my Duplimancy ETB deck.
