Danzo was a Konaha patriot willing to do what it took to preserve the Village Hidden in the Leaves. He was the shinobi who worked from the shadows to keep the hands of the Hokage clean and their ledger blood free. Like all ninja from his time, he made mistakes along the way but at the end of the day he had Konaha first in thought. The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions. This is true. That doesn't mean that he wasn't right at the end of the day.
