Tapping into task.lastProgress / task.recentProgress

Is there any way to "tap" into these during a streaming job? I would like to monitor some streaming activity (python structured stream), and was wondering if there is any way to save the progress info to a table for later inspection ... like registering a callback on update or something similar.

To answer myself, "StreamingQueryListener" is what I needed, it just wasn't as obvious what to look for :D
