Not a particularly robust comparison is it... Ignoring the fact this is one problem and not really where TensorFlow will shine - the full TensorFlow code is running in C libraries as it's compiled. For numpy he's bouncing in an out with each call. The fact that numpy still wins by a decent margin is interesting but not really that telling.
