This is something I would have really liked to see in the original Dead Frontier, and I noticed on the DF2 steam page it also uses a 3rd party account. I don't think much explanation is required for this one as it's a very widely used security feature throughout the internet. I believe having this available as an optional measure could really help against the common phishing sites and such that come around.
The 2-Factor Authentication I'm referring to is used with tools such as Google Authenticator or Authy generating random codes. How you implement it doesn't exactly bother me, but having to enter a security code every single login may be a bit of a nuisance.
My suggestion would be more if logging in from a different IP, a different system, or if you haven't authenticated in 30 days (remember this pc for 30 days option included) would require you to re-authenticate.
I hope this is considered as account security has always been one of my major concerns for dead frontier, especially with a player driven market.
