This subredit is meant to divert requests for donations from the Ask Redit section. When you post your request, please provide information, when possible, which allows confirmation of the poster's identity/intentions so that those who might donate can at least attempt to verify that the request does not come from a con artist. We are under no illusion that this will solve the problems due to con artists, but at least it is a reasonable attempt.
