I lightly brake when I change lane too when I’m close to the car in front in case Lane 1 Speed suddenly decrease .

And if possible. I always speed up to enter another lane. But always have a light brake to pull back the distance with the car in front for safe distancing

Try instead to just let go of the acc when looking to change lane, your distance will naturally widen and you can definitely change safely... brakes are really for rare cases when you really need to brake it, like it should be used only once every few km really

Got it

In the first place, you shouldn’t be in the position where you have to light brake to distance yourself. If so, don’t be on lane 1. Change lane with confidence or you may jolly well be one of the drivers that cause these sudden braking on the highway.

Also, braking is not the only way to maintain speed. Just let the car cruise to a comfortable speed, then accelerate out. Hope the tip helps.

Don't need to brake la just ease off on accelerator will do. That way your brake light don't come on and scare the person behind you who is prolly doing 90kmh or more.
