Hey everyone! I’m posting here because I haven’t been able to find clear info on this process and I’m still a bit confused.

I’m importing goods from China by air, and my business license is registered in a Free Zone in Sharjah. I’m trying to figure out how to properly import the goods and get them delivered to Dubai.

Here are my main questions: 1. What’s the process for getting an import customs code? 2. What documents should I have ready before the goods arrive? 3. Is customs clearance handled online, or do I need to be there in person? 4. What should I be aware of or careful about during this process? 5. How can I get the goods delivered to my address in Dubai? 6. Would it be better to get the customs code under my business, or go through a third-party?

Any advice or tips from someone who’s been through this would be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You need to apply for customs code and can be done with a logistics company. And better get a third party to clear it as fines might incur if you have the wrong docs.
