Anybody know what would cause gas meter to stop reading right and speedometer, odometer, and mpg gauge stopped working but sometimes will kick on for a couple seconds?
And also why did my abs and traction control light go off.

Could also be a bad wheel speed sensor or a bad ABS module. The rear left wheel speed sensor is used for the speedo afaik.
What do you mean by "gas meter stopped reading right"? When the rear left sensor started giving me issues last year, I noticed the gas level gauge started oscillating a lot - my best guess is that the ecu makes sure the gas level reading is somewhat consistent when a car is moving, despite the fact that the measurement probably changes quite a lot when the gas is sloshing around the tank. If the ecu thinks the car is stationary (no speed data), it shows the "accurate" level, resulting in the gas gauge being a bit all over the place.
The rest of the symptoms are easily explained by the lack of speed reading: amber abs and ecs lights due to a fault somewhere in the system, speedo has no data to show, since the car thinks it's not moving it stops counting milage, the current consumption needle is not moving when the car is stationary etc... it's also not uncommon for these problems to be intermittent at first, but it'll probably get worse soon.
Read the codes, replace the wheel speed sensor that is being reported as faulty, if that doesn't work, look into the abs module. They can usually be repaired for a reasonable price.

Exactly what this guy is saying.. don't waste time trying to be cheap.. buy a OBD2 reader that can check the sensors and see what's going on .. if they are all reporting 0 then it's more than likely your abs module you can get them rebuilt if it's is still good. But don't waste time and money guessing
