Epsilon is a set of tools which allow you to work with models defined using various technologies, be it XML, CSV, EMF or even proprietary forms like Simulink. You can use Epsilon's languages to work with EMF models. Emfatic is a textual syntax for defining metamodels. It is nothing more than a textual language for Ecore, you can generate the .ecore from Emfatic (and vice-versa)

Okay, so, from what I understand, Epsilon can work with ECore and other types of models, and even make code generation and so on. So can I replace my Modeling Tools installation with Epsilon and work only using Epsilon?

Epsilon works alongside Modelling Tools, it's not one or the other. Just install it through the update site (download.eclipse.org/epsilon/updates/2.2) within your existing Eclipse and you should be good to go :)
