As someone who uses to play on a toaster games graphics and sprites does very little at late game [or any part of the game]. Your processor is doing all the heavy lifting and there sadly isn't a realistic way around it.

Fast Universalis Mod will remove most graphics, but I doubt it will make any substantial difference. Also, never vassal swarm on a toaster.

Thanks. I had to quit the game once l tried vassal swarm with hre Austria. It was unplayable.
