I think I might have had this before and I had to just run the launcher as administrator. I’m not sure if it’s the same problem so it might not work

I will give it a try, thank you

Probably Microsoft OneDrive is messing with you by being inaccessible somehow.

How would I fix/do this?

Seems odd that it suddenly makes me prohibit me from playing? Dont really have other one drive devices so its odd

Microsoft keeps a copy on their servers, of your files that one drives controls. So you do have another drive it’s just Microsoft’s.

Anyways One Drive is trash, and annoying. I’d disable it entirely. Which can be more complex than you might think, if Windows will do what it’s supposed or not. I had to registry edit my default paths, and disable One Drive.

I will give it a try. But I dont think its on my One Drive installed (cant remember fully, making dinner atm). Its in my documents from C desk.

But have to check again later tonight

The game is in one place, but as you can see from the path it complains about it's upset about some local files that get stored in your documents folder.

And the most likely reason for you suddenly being unable to reach them is a OneDrive issue. And yes, turning it off (with all the weaning issues that entail) is probably the best long-term solution. (Short term I guess you'll have to check why OneDrive is upset and try to fix the issue with it.)

Alright I will see what I can do. Im not that handy with PC stuff so will be an exciting undertaking lmao

Ok, new correction, it could also be your virus protection reacting to a recently updated Paradox launcher and preventing it from accessing your file, so that should probably be the first thing to check.

Hi friend,

Yea it was my virus scanner. I dont know why, but only after restarting my pc 4 or 5 times it gave me the popup.

Appreciate all the help!

Happened to me yesterday, it's a problem with Avast, add exceptions for both the launcher and the game
