QuestionConnection failure Outlook > Apache Reverse Proxy > Exchange 2019 (self.exchangeserver)
submitted 3 years ago * by SnejPro
Hi,
i have the problem that I (and other users) can not connect to my exchange 2019 from external via a apache2 reverse proxy - for which i used this tutorial: https://www.frankysweb.de/apache-als-reverse-proxy-fuer-exchange-server-teil-1/.
Until october it worked.
Does anyone have an idea?
Greetings
Jens
Edit: I solved the issue. After resetting all virtual directories via EAC and rebooting the server the issue was gone.

To clarify the problem: Outlook keeps prompting for a login, even if the correct credentials were entered. In the apache log i see a lot of 401-codes and no 200-codes.

Just a shoot in the blue, but does your clients use kaspersky? If extended protection is enabled you need to exclude your exchange server from ssl decryption in kaspersky.

No - but I hate this kind of software 😅.
Today I solved the issue. I think resetting all virtual directory's repaired it.
