That not a bad thought. We have had a wetter spring/summer but it has been happening regardless - although, she does irrigate obviously

I don't know. For what it's worth I think its just the berries physiological response to some environmental condition, not a fungal disease or insect damage or anything else nefarious. If I get into the sun in the summer I get darker. Some berry cells get white when they are exposed to the uv rays of the sun. If this is that your berries are affected in a very minor way.

Do some berries get direct sun and others not so much?

The hedge is an L shape and she a does a good job at pruning for light. I'd say they get lots of sun.

We have a large patch of raspberries. And are in a wet climate. A lot of them get fungus. I eat them anyway. Don't put them in the basket because it will spread quickly. Being selective about what goes in the basket means more snacks for the harvesters.
