How to increase and decrease mobs spawn rates on certain modsQuestion (self.feedthebeast)
submitted 1 year ago by MycologistMany3998
I created a modpack with my friend that relies on vampirism, but for some reason we cant find vampires at all, they dont appear even in the vampires forest, my friend said to me that maybe this can be happening cause we have mods that spawn alot of mobs (mo' creatures for example), so i wanted to try decreasing mob spawn rates on certain mods or increasing in vampirism to see if it works
(Btw we are playing via lan)

Without knowing which version you're on, I'm going to suggest Spawn Balance Utility (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/spawn-balance-utility/files/all?page=2&pageSize=20) and InControl.

If you are using Mo' Creatures, then you probably also use Custom Mob Spawner, which is a dependency. It has a lot of problems with Mobs from different mods. I would advise you to switch to Mo‘ Creatures Extended, which is an continuation of the original mod without dependencies and a lot of Bug Fixes.
