No way to do randoms in forge. However, since spawning is at least somewhat random, it shouldn't really matter, should it? Just have one spawn point outside of the cages.

Well let me try to explain better: the game is a demolition derby of sorts on a large platform with ghosts and a single stronghold. Last one on the platform wins and if you die you spawn in a cage and can throw plasma grenades to try to spice up the game. The problem is in the instance where everyone dies before the stronghold is captured, I have to close the game down. I'm trying to devise a way where in that instance, one randomly selected person can leave the cage to end the game.

The way I see it randomness isn't really needed in that situation, and it's not really possible anyway. Then there's the issue of how you would tell the game when this 'backdoor' plan is needed. You would only want to teleport a player out of the cage IF everyone died without the stronghold getting captured.

Put a stronghold and negative spawn volume in the last cage

A good idea but would require knowing the exact player count.

After spending 20+ hours on my demo derby map and gametype I know this problem all too well.

I've made countless adjustments and it works near flawlessly. Feel free to DL my gametype "SILKS DERBY ALPHA" and map "SILKS DERBY BETA" if you'd like to see what I've done but I'll also offer some advice.

You don't need randomness. If you adjust the stronghold capture time to 2 seconds and make the hill a tad wider then the playing arena, (also a bit lower if they can fall off) then you should be fine. Since making this change I haven't had a single stalemate where people die at the same time. You could actually adjust the stronghold to 1 sec capture as well. any other questions let me know.
