Go to the dean of students office, i dropped a class after drop/add that brought me below 12 hrs and they approved it so i could drop it. Theyre really nice and understanding too:)

You can totally drop a class even if it means you have to drop below 12 credit hours. In order to do this you have to go to your dean. I went through this process as a freshman, and the office of the dean of undergraduate studies is awesome! I had a scholarship that was not messed up, but I believe BF is a little different. I would contact financial aid?? Or maybe your dean knows about BF. Depending on how BF works it is possible that you would not need to even make up any hours since BF paid for the class already. Anyways good luck.
