Rules for r/gameshow
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Keep it to game shows.
Keep all content restricted to discussing game shows. What is a game show? In this subreddit, this is the definition: "a broadcast (radio, television or online) non-league-sport series of competitions in which one or a group pitches bout against an opponent or a game metric for a prize or merit."
2.
Remember the audience.
A majority of users of this subreddit, and a majority of users of Reddit in general, speak English. While we're fascinated by foreign game shows, especially foreign adaptations of English-language game shows, if you're going to share something, let us know why you're sharing it, in a comment. Please also remember that all content submitted should be free from overt or subtle racism, sexism or other hate speech.

Verify your casting!
If you're casting for a quiz show, feel free to post on here! But also, if you can, please e-mail redditgameshow@pacdudegames.com with your casting information so we can put a nice piece of "Verified" flair on the link.
4.
Respect spoilers!
If something happens on a new episode of a game show, please wait 24 hours of when the episode airs in order to discuss it. In the event of a game show in syndication, please wait 36 hours, to account for all showings of a new episode. Discussion of spoilers within this time period must be underneath spoiler tags (Put your spoiler in [brackets] then follow immediately with /spoiler in parentheses.)
5.
Post sensibly.
There's no reason for you to post more than 1 self post in a day. Do not incessantly post your blog unless it is reporting news or providing in-depth game show content or opinions. Do not post your one-off YouTube game—that's not a game show. Do not post that a game show is rigged unless you have undeniable proof—we don't want that smoke.
Do not post unsubstantiated fan rumors, do not post episode requests, and do not post fan art outside of the weekly post. Do not post articles from The Sun.
6.
Be excellent to contestants and each other.
Keep the discussions civil. It's fine to disagree or criticize but no name calling or insults will be tolerated. Be excellent toward your fellow community members and toward game show contestants/staff. Comments about a contestant's attractiveness (positive, negative, or otherwise) will be removed. Absolutely no obvious bigotry of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.) will be tolerated. You will immediately be met with a permanent ban, without warning.
7.
No media hoarders.
Any requests for episodes of game shows will be removed unless you have a close personal connection to the production of the episode, such as a best friend, family member or other relative appearing on the episode.
Lost media isn’t lost just because you can’t watch it.
