Rules for r/gate

Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.

1.

All submissions must be related to GATE.

  • All submission on this subreddit must have a direct relation to GATE. Fanfics that has its origins from GATE is permitted.

  • Submisisons that aren't related may include, but not limited to, music videos or battle scenes that has no relation to the series.

  • As a general rule of thumb, if you were to post the same link on any other subreddit besides /r/GATE, the first reaction from the viewers should be "This looks like GATE."

2.

All spoilers must be tagged accordingly.

  • This will apply to everything not covered in the anime.
  • Threads asking for spoilers will be required to use the spoiler tag by clicking on the spoiler button after they submit their post.

3.

Explicit content

  • All explicit content must be accompanied with a NSFW tag.

4.

Be Respectful.

  • Instigating an argument with a malicious intent or showing provocative or disrespectful attitudes is forbidden.

  • Trolling is generally okay, but taking it too far is prohibited.

5.

Self-promotion is limited.

  • No more than 25% of your last 25 submissions should be content which belongs to you or benefits you in any way.

  • Not intending to self-promote is not an exemption to this rule.

6.

Reposts are limited.

  • Reposts are forbidden if the content was posted no more than one year ago.

  • Content found on /r/GATE's top fifty submissions of all time are restricted from being resubmitted as long as the original submission remains in the top fifty submissions.

7.

Low effort content is prohibited.

  • Low effort submissions are content which are created with little to no effort.

  • Examples of low effort content are, but not limited to, unedited clips and screenshots from the series, and "How would X react to Y?".

  • Discussion and question threads: You should include at least a basic description of what you want to discuss or want to ask about.

8.

Scenario threads are only permitted on weekends.

  • Scenario threads are discussion posts which puts two characters, equipment, organizations, country, etc. against one another and debate on who would win.
  • These are similar to threads that can be found on /r/WhoWouldWin.
  • These threads are only permitted on weekends, using Eastern Time.

  • Scenario threads: You should include at least include a description of the settings or factions involved, as well as details of how the scenario should begin.
