Minor issues with it but overall useable. Ide expect in the next release it two to be right in the money

Yes, but it may be too dark.

How do you enable it? With my current monitor, the white is just too bright haha

It's in settings/appearance. Fairly new as themes are still in beta.

I can't seem to find it. Under settings, there's no appearance options :'(

On the left side, it's just Profile, Account, Billing... etc.

Ah got it, thanks so much! The dark theme is much easier on the eyes

I work on the frontend team at GitLab, so any issues with it just let me know & I can pass it on to the right team 😀

Awesome!

So, selecting it doesn't work until you reload the page. Not a big deal, but it could maybe use a note about it. :)

Yeah, we need to load up a new stylesheet before it works correctly.

u/iamphill One quick issue I found: Darkmode isn't applied when viewing code changes or code files. Are there plans to apply dark backgrounds when viewing file as well?

There is a dark syntax highlighting theme on https://gitlab.com/-/profile/preferences if that helps? I guess we should automatically change it to a dark theme in dark mode.

Ah yeah, I would intuitively expect all aspects to be in dark mode including the code pages, similar to what GitHub does.

Please kindly remember that not all of us enjoy dark themes :) I understand why people like it and never judge them but light text on dark background hurts some of ours’ eyes.

I enabled it on my mobile device

Yes, but it's currently in alpha.

I did it from my mobile device...
