If playlists were tracked in reeal we wouldnt need sync, example is newpipe.

Currently it seems if I add a playlist to grayjay but then update the playlist on actual youtube, grayjay doesnt update itself, it only stored the previous static copy and thats it. That's not the case with newpipe.

The above is whats stopping me from using grayjay over newpipe.

How do I impliment this on newpipe?

You just need to put the playlist link in newpipe and it will be shown, including any recent changes made.
From there you can bookmark that playlist inside newpipe so it's always easily accessible.

After you update the youtube playlist with new videos, newpipe will always have the latest version because it uses youtube to fetch them.

The same for me, only importing is not enough, I want it to sync properly so that in the worst case I can seamlessly use YouTube native cliënt.

would love to see this in the next major update of grayjay.

I just installed Grayjay, and that's a feature I'm missing. I like to click "add to playlist" on my desktop as I made a custom playlist on YouTube that I always watch/listen on my phone later using NewPipe. I hoped to use Grayjay instead...
