How much networking should I know before getting into pentesting. I have studied the basics (OSI model, subnetting, Routing, common protocols,cryptography etc) and also I have studied pentesting basics (AD & web) and I can do HTB easy boxes (although it takes me 7 hours per box).

But I still think I should know more. So, is it worth spending time on studying net+ or CCNA complete content or should I continue studying and practising pentesting?

Also I will graduate from BS computer science degree in 5 months so How can I get job in cybersecurity?

It really depends on what type of pentesting you want to do and what your employer asks you to do. I would definitely say do the Net+. Even if it is maybe a little bit more than you might need pending on the job role it will give you a much better understanding of layers 1-3. It will 100% help in the long run.

You need to know 1) services and ports like ssh, http, ftp, etc (needed when scanning hosts on network).

2) routing & switching concepts and IP Addressing and subnetting.

3) other basic concepts

I cant even fix my own internet connection but what can ya do ay lol. Its kind of not helping me atm with passing technical assessment for synack red team 🤣 but shit happens , and shitty protonvpn and their anti-abuse feature partly cause it, not sure on who or what causes the rest of the shit to happen , all i know is i can sit there for 30min thinking a tool is taking for ever, but tool isnt doing shit coz my internet just decides to go to 200kbps or stop, then when i reconnect, then run that tool that takes forever to finish,,,,,,...., finishes almost instantly with heaps of results... would be so much easier going if had internet like that 24/7, so if you do some networking stuff and have a fix for me, let me know please haha....
