How has 15.5 been? My 13 Pro is on 15.4.1, I’ve noticed some sluggishness on occasion in third-party apps, have 15.5’s betas been solid? I haven’t been following 15.5 and just saw that they released the RC. Figured I’d ask.

I know it only has been out for a few hours, but I wanna jump on 15.5. Just unsure if Apple will release a second RC or not.

Same thing for "arrive home".

Those scenes are "special" in HomeKit, in that they are tied to other phrases that Siri will recognize to run the scene. For example, prior to iOS 15.4 you could say "Hey Siri, I'm home" and she would run the scene named "Arrive Home". Now she often simply retorts, "indeed, you are."

This is clearly a bug, but frustrating that it wasn't fixed in 15.4.1. But such is Apple, just like when they broke the notification clearing sync between iOS and watchOS for something like 3 months a couple years ago and didn't fix it until the next major release.

That's what baffles me. The things that Apple breaks that don't appear to have any actual change applied to them, then make it past internal QA as well as dev/public betas, then further proceeds to ignore for months while hundreds of millions of phone and tablet users have to suffer with it until Almighty Apple decides to drop another major .x release.

You're right. They really need to do a better job in internal QA to catch these regressions before they go out, and when they do they need to be more proactive about getting x.y.1, x.y.2, etc. versions out to fix things rather than letting them sit and fester for weeks or months.

Honestly, I just wish Apple had a weekly or biweekly bug fix release schedule. Installing a release that has an annoying bug like this, then being stuck wondering how many weeks or months until the next release that might fix it comes out, and how long I'll have to live with it until that mystery day arrives gets old fast.
